Flexible Image Sensors with Semiconducting Nanowires for Biomimic Visual Applications

Flexible image sensors with good detectivity, high mechanical stability, and excellent flexibility have generated great interest in biomimetic visual applications. Semiconductor nanowires (NWs) a unique geometric structure, transparency, electronic/optoelectronic properties can cater to flexible applications associated sensors. Herein, comprehensive review of semiconducting NWs is offered, the key performance parameters photodetectors are introduced detail. The performances heterostructure NW array photodetectors, as well organic–inorganic hybrid devices, also reviewed. Finally, new concepts sensors, including memory, infrared sensing, electronic eye, examined showcase future research this exciting field.
